Student Wellbeing – Secondary

Counselling

The Counselling Office aims to support students in managing their emotions and improving their communication and interpersonal skills. Through the counselling sessions, the students will gain greater self-acceptance and self-esteem. The sessions will also help the students to recognize, manage and regulate their emotions better. Counselling will also endeavour to change some self-defeating thoughts or habits.

The counselling room is a non-judgmental, safe and secure environment for sharing and understanding self and emotions. The sessions will involve behavioural modification through thought and emotional re-engineering, thus enabling the students to live a more productive and satisfying life. It also enhances coping skills to help students to deal with new situations and different challenges.

We work in partnership with teachers, parents and other external agencies to support students. We aim to provide expertise and resources to empower all students to achieve their goals and experience success.

Learning Support Office strives to help all students realise their full potential and provides learning support for individual students who may experience learning challenges.
