The Counselling Office aims to support students in managing their emotions and improve their communication and interpersonal skills. Through the counselling sessions, the students will gain greater self-acceptance and self-esteem. The sessions will also help the students to recognize, manage and regulate their emotions better. Counselling will also endeavour to change some self-defeating thoughts or habits.
The counselling room is a non-judgmental, safe and secure environment for sharing and understanding oneself and one’s emotions. The sessions will involve behavioural modification through thought and emotional re-engineering, thus enabling the students to live a more productive and satisfying life. It also enhances coping skills to help students to deal with new situations and different challenges.
